The prayers in this Devotional Booklet came to me during my own personal encounters with the Lord as I searched for ways to express various human needs in a prayerful conversation with God. These prayers have been revised in content and therefore read differently from how they were published in the 1st edition of this Booklet. This revised edition contains only the intercessory prayers. The devotional prayers (Devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Devotion to the Way of the Cross) have been revised and are now published in a new prayer booklet, “Devotions, Up Close and Personal”. The prayers herein remain experiential in tone and are meant to express real emotions as one connects with the Divine in a personal way. It is my hope that you will find in these prayers your own words as you encounter the Triune God in these prayerful conversations. One of the greatest gifts we can give to anyone is the gift of prayer and better than praying for someone is to help that person learn how to hold his or her own personal conversation with God. I offer this prayer booklet as an aid in this regard.
