MINE IS A HEART FULL OF GRATITUDE!

THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

The Psalmist says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His mercy endures forever” and in another chapter, he declares, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!”

My beloved parishioners, my heart is full of joy and gratitude to God for His faithfulness and unfailing love, and to all of you for your abiding support and devotion to your parish—St. Michael’s Church. Two months ago, we embarked on this new concept of having only one fundraiser, per year, for the parish, so that we can focus our energies more on building the spiritual and communal life of our Church. Believing God to see us through, we rolled out the project and many of our parishioners volunteered to be facilitators and to be in charge of various groups, even though they had never done something like this before. As you may well know, it is never by “Power or might but by the spirit of the Lord”.

It is a tremendous blessing to know that, by the end of our 2021 Union of Saints and Nations campaign; we not only reached our goal but actually exceeded it. Many of our parishioners were surprised but I was not. The reason is that for the four years I have been here, there has been nothing we have initiated to do that we have not accomplished. Ours is a parish like no other. We think it, we commit to it, and we do it. That is how it has been and for that, I am very grateful to God.

It is my prayer that this Covid-19 will go away so that we can plan some parish get-together, solely for the building and enrichment of our Church family. May the good Lord credit your accounts with surplus as you have given to Him. You have amply supplied for the Church to the effect that, for the first time in 30 years, we have balanced the budget of our parish.

Please know that your donations and contributions are a fragrant offering; an acceptable sacrifice of praise, pleasing to God. May Our God meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus!
